Hey I did it, Rob’s first blog. December 21st, 2008
Hi everyone,
Rob Brooks here. I’m enjoying a snowy day in New York in late 2008.
I’ve decided to let my light shine like never before in 2009. It’s time to really be myself and not let old patterns run my life.
I’m a former e-bay power seller and beginner marketer on the internet. I am very fortunate to have gotten into the coaching group with Alex Jeffreys. What’s different about this mentoring is it is given by the man who makes the money himself. And just as important Alex gives 100% of himself in teaching us step by step.
For once I’ve found out how to really learn and apply internet marketing without hype. Yes, I am learning to take baby steps one at a time. Now I know what to do and how to do it. I don’t have to chase money or sell. Money will chase me as I give away my best stuff for free. And that is very freeing in itself.
My main interest in Internet Marketing is making Videos. I have made several already and will explain in a free e-book very soon how I do it to make money. But early this New Year I am going to get some top training in this and go all out.
My blog name is “Marketing with Rob”. I totally ripped off the name from Alex who uses “Marketing with Alex”. But this is what I want to do. Market together with you, my new friends. I will be leaping tall internet marketing mountains in the coming weeks and months. Please join me in this exciting journey.
I will soon be sending super helpful information on succeeding at Internet Marketing to my mailing list. You can join my mailing list and get Alex Jeffreys must read e-book on List Building for FREE here: http://www.listbuildinglearning.com
There is a huge amount of money flowing on the web. I am learning how to position myself in the middle of the flow of money. And there is plenty of room for you to do that to.
I will be sharing my best stuff in blogs, e-books, videos, twitter and so on with you. Come share your journey with me. Right now the gurus are making the millions. Despite all the economic doom and gloom, millions of dollars will still be flowing and increasing on the web every day.
But what many of the gurus are not ready for is the web is quickly changing. Hype will still sell, but not like before. We (the little guys and gals) can and will position our self in the changes to the web which is now called Social Media. Social Media lets anyone speak to the many.
I am ready to rock n roll. We all have at our doorsteps right now through Social Media the power to take control of our lives. What do ya think? www.listbuildinglearning.com

Hi Rob,
Great introductory video of yourself. Congrats on getting your blog up and running. You live in a beautiful area, looks like where I live all the way across the country.
You’ve done a good job letting people know what you’re going to do for them.
Please let me know if I can help you in any way.
Warmly,
Theresa

Hi Theresa,
Thanks for stopping by and posting. I know this is going to be a life changing year in 2009. For me it’s just a matter of staying focused and getting things done in an order of priorities.

Rob

Rob,
Great job on the posts and video – what a great I deal you just gave me by instead of always writing posts, do some video posts and of course then follow up the video with an outline of important, info and links that pertain to the video. It just gives the viewer some change. I’m just playing catch up since we too have had the worst snow storm since. . . well, ever that I can remember! Have a safe holidays to you and yours!!

Hi Lori,
Good to hear from you. Yes we need to give others different ways to receive our messages. Some people will respond to just one method. Probably most people will be more attracted to what we’re doing if we spice up the content with different delivery methods. In this day and age just text doesn’t make it. I’m catching up too. Alex told one caller last Monday that we’re not running a race. That advice helped me to relax and enjoy every step of this journey.

Hi Rob
I’m just blog roll surfing and updating everyone’s names and URLs. I just added your blog and wanted to let you know that I put a copy/paste thing on my blog roll for anyone that was interested in putting a blog roll on their sites.
Thankx

Hi Rob, typing this and listening to your video at the same time. Looks too bloomin cold there to me, you can keep that white stuff on your side of the Atlantic.
I see you have me in your blogroll and I sm now adding you to my links list here.
Have you joined the Forum yet, Alex is now a member

Like you I have wasted more money over the past two years than I wish to admit on courses and products that have taken me nowhere.
I am also very optimistic as a follower of Alex he is a tremendous encourager. Only thing I don’t like are the competitions they always seem to demotivate rather than motivate me, but that’s me.
Happy New Year

Dear Rob:
Thank you for your post and your kind words and inspiration. You contacted me after talking with Alex at the last Brainstorming session. You were the next student to talk to Alex. Very cool video! Your blog looks great! I will be working hard over the next several days to get my blog up to speed. I appreciate what you have done so far and look forward to the road ahead! Sorry it took so long for me to get here, I am trying to minimize my distractions though this is difficult due to my only internet access is in my office where I am my total staff. Look forward to a professional and personal relationship with you and others of Alex’s students in this new and prosperous year 2009!
Sincerely,
Dr. Lenny
Rob Says:
Hi Dr. Lenny,
Thanks for your post and encouragement. I know how hard it is to minimize distractions and get real work done. It comes back to what Alex said- Do the most important thing first. I’m looking forward to getting to know you too.
Rob
