Hi,

Whew! I got my Video all finished. It turned out since I am finishing my first e-book. I decided to talk about it and how people could get it for free. Videos are fun to make, but they are challenging. You kind of got to get in your zone. So the most important thing is don’t let yourself get distracted. Like turn off your cell phone. Ask anyone else who is home not to make noises like use the Washing Machine.

Also important is to just relax. Do some stretching first. Quiet your mind with some quiet time. Anything that you know will get you in your zone and you’ll do just fine. So let me know what you think.

Enjoy,

Rob

I’ve been writing an e-book. Well it’s been said how great it is for you to actually have your own product to market. So I realized since I have experience with making Video Infomercials for ClickBank Products, why not get it down on paper or hmmm, I mean a PDF. It is a great experience. Organizing my thoughts and not getting distracted is a lesson in itself.

What I really like is I’m in control. I can make this really good if I like. Every time I reread it I make some changes. This is good because they are coming from creative juices that are flowing. My current title (that changes constantly too) is: “The Beginner’s Guide To Making Video Infomercials That Make Big Money”.

Another thing that is a real challenge is what am I gonna do with it. Give it away for free, sell it or both. What do I want from it if I give it away for free? Well I think that answer is a mailing list and some Affiliate sales from my Links. Though I definitely feel it’s great information so I may try some selling of it too.

You are very welcome to a free copy which will be available very soon. Just sign-up to my Make Money with videos Mailing List in the upper right of my blog.

I went to a concert two weeks ago to see one of my top favorites. She comes from country music royalty. Have you ever heard of Carlene Carter? She is Johnny Cash’s daughter-in-law. Her mother is the famous singer immortalized in the movie “Walk The Line” June Carter. Her father Carl Smith was one of the top country music artists in the 1950’s + 60’s. And to top all that off her Grandmother is Mother Maybelle Carter a member of the original Carter Family. The Carter Family are recognized as the founders of modern folk + country. They first recorded in the 1920’s.

So I recorded 80% of the concert on my “The Flip” Camcorder. So I’m thinking I’ll upload this to just You Tube so Carlene’s other fans can enjoy it. I figured this is a rare time that I’ll blast out a video without a marketing angle. But my Marketing wheels never stop turning. So then I had an Ahha moment. I will advertise Downloadable Guitar Lessons on each of the six part videos of the concert. I found an excellent one on ClickBank and then bought my Affiliate Domain http://www.myjamorama.com Then as always to get maximum exposure I sent the video out on Traffic Geyser.

So the lesson is with a little thought you can turn a great time into a money making adventure also with videos. Oh by the way my e-book called “A Newbie’s Guide to Making Video Infomercials” is coming along just great. Sign up on my video mailing list to get a free copy soon.

So here is one of the 6 videos. The others are all on You Tube under the channel name “Marketing With Rob” if you want to see more.

Enjoy,

Rob

I made my first video infomercial in May 2008. Didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I didn’t even have a camcorder. I decided I better make it on something I enjoy more than the best money making prospective product to get some initial experience. So on ClickBank I saw a product that was a video set of beginning tennis lessons. Since my son Josh and I love Tennis, I said lets do this one.

Remember I said I didn’t own a camcorder. So we made 10 different slides. Some were taken from the pitch page and the others we found on a free picture site. I then wrote my script by directly reading the schpeal on the Pitch Page. The whole video was a minute + 40 seconds. I had no idea how to speak so I tried to imitate what I thought was a typical infomercial speaker. Looking back I realize I spoke in a tone of voice which was kind of on the phony side.

So Josh and I sent the sucker into cyberspace not expecting to make any money. We sent the exact same video out 4 times with different titles + keywords to get more views. To my shock I made a sale the second day. Well we made about a sale a week for 2 months at a $23 commission. Then it slowed down. But I am still even making a sale or two a month on it. As of this writing it has 9,566 views on youtube. Now I hope you believe anyone can start making money through videos.

Remember I am not bragging that this is a good video. My point is video even for a clueless newbie like I was works. Having said that here is the link to it. But then come back here for I have a great surprise for you below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vj6jd96NQoE&feature=channel_page

If you are going to start making videos or are already making them. There is a site called Traffic Geyser I have used from that very first video to send them out. This site I feel is an absolute must to use for any video marketer. This is because this site sends the video out to a maximum amount of video sites, podcasts, and social networking sites.

Using video to market products, your blog, your website or just about anything else is the absolute way to go in 2009 on then internet. Traffic Geyser gives you the maximum exposure for videos. This makes perfect sense as a marketer to utilize such technology. You can’t send it out to all the sites Traffic Geyser will for you because that chore will take many, many hours. Traffic Geyser does it in 5 minutes. And if you are one of Alex’s students and heard the call with the Video Queen Maria Andros you’ll remember she said Traffic Geyser is a must.

I wanted to let you know about this as no internet marketing through video will work at it’s maximum without this site. Below click on the link below and you will receive a 30 day free trial to Traffic Geyser.

Please let me know any question you have in getting started with Traffic Geyser. I really don’t want you to get stuck with anything technical or not. Check out their info videos and helps. If your stuck e-mail me at rob@lmtnproducts.com or feel free to call me in the U.S. at 845-699-4847. The Link for the 30 day free trial is below.

Hi, Today I have tip #2 for you when starting out making videos.

Don’t forget you can start out making videos just with slides.  Then you can record your voice. It’s a great way to start and still will be effective.

But sooner than later you are going to have to get in front of the camera and talk.  May I suggest to make it easy by writing out a script.  Of course the trick is as you make your video you want to speak and look very natural so no one watching knows you are reading a script.

Aha! the solution is a Teleprompter. When I realized this is what I needed, I went to good old e-bay to get a bargain.  To my horror surprise I found they run over $700.   After dealing with massive depression and gulping a few glasses of water, I e-mailed a friend to ask her for a suggestion of just what to buy.

She said why don’t you just use a Free Teleprompter. After using it several times I can tell you it works awesome.  You just type in your schpeal and make changes as you would in a word processor.  And when you are ready you can set the teleprompter for size and speed.

So now you will look relaxed and natural because you will be.  You can get your free teleprompter at http://www.cueprompter.com/

One last important point.  Try to get your video camera situated in a place where you can read the teleprompter and still look straight into the camera.  If you put your camera above your computer screen. Your eyes will be shifting between looking at the camera and reading your script.  No one trusts a person with shifty eyes.  Since I use the pocket camcorder called The Flip.  I put the tiny Flip camera and tripod in the middle of my laptop screen.  I find I can read the words and look straight into the camera without a hitch.

This link is an example of myself using a teleprompter in a video that has made me about $500 in the past few months.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R71k8_5qpQc&feature=channel_page

Comments of course are always welcomed.

Rob

I’m in Video Learning Heaven. Wow! and this was billed as just a bonus module. This alone was worth the price of admission to me for the most incredible internet coaching training ever. Thanks again Alex Jeffreys and Thanks to the Video Queen Maria Andros.

OK, so I am gonna to give you a series of tips that I am going to use to compete in Alex’s $3,000 video contest. If you use them you will increase traffic and improve content too.

Tip#1- Pay very careful attention to your key words and long tail keyword phrases. Now remember since the contest is on you tube. You can do a good part of your keyword research on you tube too. Of course do research on Google also. Google is in love with you tube and will very often give you first page listings for your key words as organic traffic.

Now when your video is ready to upload to you tube, send it out at least 3 times with different keywords. You may need to make a slight variation in the video each time you send it out for youtube to accept it. Like change the running time by a few seconds. I just send mine out in different formats. This lets you get views from many more keywords than you would be able to do with just one video.

For Instance- I have the same video out on you tube promoting a clickbank product that teaches Tennis by a series of videos. Now the 2 titles that best describe the content of the videos have only about 15% each of views that my third title has. So most people are searching for the keywords in my third title than the 2 titles that just happen to more accurately describe the event I have in the video. You can never be sure of such a lopsided view count until the same video is out there with different key words. Here are the titles and the current views. The videos were put up 4 months ago. I have made multiple sales from them.

Title #1- “US Tennis Open Julie Coin qualifies to play Ana Ivanovic” Views-280

Title #2- “Julie Coin 1st Round before Ana Ivanovic at US Tennis Open” Views- 384

Title #3- “Learn How to Play Tennis for Beginners. Rare Video at US Open” Views- 2172

I hope I have made my point.

If you would like to view this video, Here is the Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeLRYcVSikY.

Now this works great if you are selling something like I do from ClickBank. Right now a matter for discussion may be since one of the two contests is for most views for a youtube video. If my suggestion will help or hurt you. What do you think? Since I just heard about the contest myself I need to ponder this. But either way you decide for the contest, use this method when promoting your blog or products in the future.

If I can be of any further help or you have any comments on this tip please leave a reply.

More tips coming very, very soon so check in often or subscribe to my RSS Feed on the top right.

Good Luck to those entering the contest. We’re all winners anyway because we’re gonna learn much. Rob

Twitter- What it all about Alfie?   January 4th, 2009

Hey as a good Internet Marketer soldier I have joined Twitter because I was told to.  My twitter name is: robmbrooks.  OK,  Can someone please explain to me what it’s all about?

For one I have all these new followers.  Though I don’t feel to loved as they all seem like they just want to sell me big time.  All the chat on big name blogs I read seem to be very inside chatter about how they’re all going to kick internet marketing butt in 2009.

So how to you use it?  Can anyone please give me some direction?  My time to pursue an on-line biz after long hours in my job as a projectionist in a movie theater is precious.   So I’m wondering how to use twitter and if it should be as top a priority as my other two priorities which are making videos and blogging.  Thanks, Rob

Great Positive Poem   January 4th, 2009

Hi Friends,

I ripped off this poem from Al Vaughan’s Blog.  It’s reaffirms the can-do attitude that we all need to succeed at this journey.  I don’t just mean Internet Marketing, I also mean our lives.  Lets live to our fullest in 2009.

Here is the poem.

Blessings,

Rob

“THE MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN”

If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost,
For out in the world we find
Success beings with a fellow’s will;
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you’re outclassed, you are:
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

Things may not always run smoothly and may feel your getting behind, but just keep on going as the man said “It’s all in the state of the mind”
