My First Video and Traffic Geyser- A Happy Marriage   January 15th, 2009

I made my first video infomercial in May 2008. Didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I didn’t even have a camcorder. I decided I better make it on something I enjoy more than the best money making prospective product to get some initial experience. So on ClickBank I saw a product that was a video set of beginning tennis lessons. Since my son Josh and I love Tennis, I said lets do this one.

Remember I said I didn’t own a camcorder. So we made 10 different slides. Some were taken from the pitch page and the others we found on a free picture site. I then wrote my script by directly reading the schpeal on the Pitch Page. The whole video was a minute + 40 seconds. I had no idea how to speak so I tried to imitate what I thought was a typical infomercial speaker. Looking back I realize I spoke in a tone of voice which was kind of on the phony side.

So Josh and I sent the sucker into cyberspace not expecting to make any money. We sent the exact same video out 4 times with different titles + keywords to get more views. To my shock I made a sale the second day. Well we made about a sale a week for 2 months at a $23 commission. Then it slowed down. But I am still even making a sale or two a month on it. As of this writing it has 9,566 views on youtube. Now I hope you believe anyone can start making money through videos.

Remember I am not bragging that this is a good video. My point is video even for a clueless newbie like I was works. Having said that here is the link to it. But then come back here for I have a great surprise for you below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vj6jd96NQoE&feature=channel_page

If you are going to start making videos or are already making them. There is a site called Traffic Geyser I have used from that very first video to send them out. This site I feel is an absolute must to use for any video marketer. This is because this site sends the video out to a maximum amount of video sites, podcasts, and social networking sites.

Using video to market products, your blog, your website or just about anything else is the absolute way to go in 2009 on then internet. Traffic Geyser gives you the maximum exposure for videos. This makes perfect sense as a marketer to utilize such technology. You can’t send it out to all the sites Traffic Geyser will for you because that chore will take many, many hours. Traffic Geyser does it in 5 minutes. And if you are one of Alex’s students and heard the call with the Video Queen Maria Andros you’ll remember she said Traffic Geyser is a must.

Hi Rob,
I agree that having a name like “Video How To Guy” or something like that is good idea. I don’t know how you could shorten it, but that might be something to consider.

I made my contest video. Did you get a chance to see it?
Thanks for any feedback.

Hi Rob, my first visit to your site, I am trying to visit all of Alex’s students, long job but worthwhile. I like what you are writing about video making. I am trying my hand and enjoying it thoroughly. I need to think about keywords more though, but that is a ‘to do’ thing. I would appreciate your visiting my site to see my post concerning a poll about Alex. Plus I would appreciate your comments on my competition video. Thanks in anticipation.
