Just 2 weeks ago when I went full-time.  I went to a beautiful Botanical Gardens and made this video.  I share my feelings of finally being “free” to pursue the dream of taking control of my own life.

Also I got plenty of good stuff for you on the right attitudes for having a successful internet business.  So since I said it all in the video, I’ll let you see for yourself what a brand new baby cut from the cloth full-time internet marketer has to say.

Well alots happened since my last post.   I lost my job of 38 years as a projectionist in April.  My theater went all digital.   Since the two major theater chains in New York City went all digital at the same time.  About 40 people lost there jobs. 

Now don’t cry for me, as this was really the push I needed to do what I really wanted to do which was go full-time in Internet Marketing.

I did accomplish something good last week, which was my first week full-time.  I wrote an e-book about youtube that I believe will be very helpful to anyone who is or wants to make simple videos that get results for anything they are doing on-line.

I write this post just hours away from 2010.  Strictly from an Internet business reflection point I ask myself- What did I accomplish in 2009?  What do I believe I will accomplish in 2010?

My work as a projectionist in one of the world’s busiest theaters in NYC kept me, well busy.  I’m talking most weeks were over 60 hours and some 70, 80 and more.  So juggling family, church (where I teach 5th graders) and my Internet business was a balancing act.

Thanks to Alex Jeffery’s coaching early in the year I was motivated to write my first e-book which was about how I was making a steady clickbank income making short amateur video infomercials.  Wow! was that ever a good thing to do.

Jim Cockrum liked my e-book so much he promoted it 4 times to his massive list.  Also because of opt-in’s into the bonus pool of Jim’s membership site “My Silent Team” (link under Rob’s Favorites) to get my e-book, my list exploded very fast with many really great people that I got to know personally. 

Next my love of videos got me excited to join Maria Andros coaching last April.  I loved Maria’s coaching as she is an outstanding teacher.  Just following a few of her pointers my youtube account grew from 3 subscribers to close to one hundred.  There’s so much more from Maria’s coaching I still need to implement.

Then in late May it was off the Las Vegas for an exclusive get together for just 25 of Alex Jeffrey’s 1st coaching class.  There I saw the power of making connections with others in the Internet Marketing community.  We had such a blast and learned so much.  Alex amazed me as he taught in such depth for many hours and never asked for a dime or anything from us for it.  I’m proud to say that if you type in Alex Jeffreys on youtube my video of the event has been #1 out of close to 19,000 other videos for the past 6 months.

Next up to bat was my e-bay Diabetic Test Strip Business.  This business took off like a rocket.  I’ve sold $20,000 of these little jewels the last 4 months of 2009.  So what’s up for 2010.  Well I’m focusing on 3 things at the start anyway.

1- Ebay  Of course continuing and expanding test strips.  Adding new products which I already have started.  And in Feb taking my good friend from the UK Dan Briffa’s e-bay coaching course on finding fertile markets on e-bay, buying from China and rebranding the products with my own brand.                    

 2- Affiliate marketing I’ve already enlisted Pauline who edited and formatted my e-book and even put up this blog.  She is going to be putting up affiliate word press sites for me.  Video marketing will be a big part of this.               

3- List building I have really enjoyed my first year as a guy with a list.  I’ve stayed true to my instincts. Write as myself, not use swipe copies when promoting something.  Only promote products or coaching programs that I actually paid for myself, used and found great benefit from.  On Jan 24 I’m heading out to Vegas again to attend Alex Jeffrey’s coaching get together for his 2nd coaching group from this past summer.  Part of why I am going is because the main focus is going to be on list building.

So there you have it my 2009 and my very optimistic look into 2010.

Lately I have been making a different kind of video besides continuing to make video infomercials.  I’m talking about making videos about myself.  You can do this also.  Video is a great way to let others know about yourself.

It’s fun, but yes can be scary.  We all want to present ourselves well.  People will respect honesty.  This kind of video will help you to become more articulate which is good for most of us.  Because of your honesty people will trust you and this will help in your business.

So think before you make one of these videos about what you want to communicate.  You will be sharing some of the real you.  You actually will be starting to develop your own brand.  Attraction Marketing includes people being attracted to what Frank Kern calls your “Core Values”.

In today’s age of Social Media people want to connect with a real person, not just a company.  So I’m going to give you the secret to making a successful video.

People watch videos to see whats in them for themselves.  Now here is the secret- are you ready?  Give away your best and most helpful information that the viewer can really use.  Put the viewer first because to them your video is really about them, not you.  This is how you will start gaining a following.

Ask them through text or verbally to rate your video, comment and subscribe to your youtube channel.

Do not talk to the masses.  Talk to the camera as if it is your best friend talking with you in your living room.

Well it’s been 2 weeks into Maria Andros’s “Social Media Traffic Blueprint” Program.  So here’s what I’m learning and moving forward with from it.

Twitter- I learned the importance of a powerful biography to establish credibility.  To get a company logo and graphics up also.  Get followers and keep your ratios balanced.  Have at least 5-10 conversations a day.  Build relationships which lead to new customers, JV Partners and speaking engagements.

YouTube- Create a powerful biography that establishes yourself as an expert and authority.  Get a custom logo made.  Choose a catchy title and headline.  Use all the custom design channel tools.  Create a simple intro video 25-40 seconds for your videos.

How to make hypnotic videos- Go deep to find out who your customer is.  When making a video change your own space first to be in a confident state.  Speak to the camera as you are talking to only your best friend, not to the masses.    Share your story to gain trust.

Well this is just a snapshot and doesn’t do justice to all the cutting edge information I am learning and starting to implement.  It’s a great time of fun, excitement and growth while getting out there and known in web 2.0

Recently I was fortunate to have the great pleasure to interview Shannon Lueck. Shannon is a stay at home. She also is a successful Internet Marketer.

Shannon was personally mentored by Michael Cheney. She now has developed her own product named Video Cash Explosion. This is a very easy to use full system that makes for you simple 1 page web sites that use video. Great for beginners and experienced Internet marketers.

In just 4 months of making just 10 of these websites Shannon took in close to $20,000.

That’s good enough for me. I’m going to outsource the work so I can get a ton of these video websites out there myself. Here is a first draft of the interview with slides that I added. I am going to re-edit everything for my marketing campaign because it is too long for youtube and most other sites.

My internet business is really starting to take off.  More and more affiliate sales and about 30 opt-in’s a day to my newsletter.  This can all happen for you too and much more very fast.   Today I am sharing something with you that has been essential to me for this kind of growth.

OK- So where do we/I go next. We have an understanding of blogging. We also have an understanding of the importance of building a list. Have you been wondering when will I really be making some good money? Also wondering just when will I start making some real money that will make a difference in my life. Perhaps it’s the elephant in the room question that doesn’t get talked about but many are thinking.

I realized I want to know how to start making noticeable money right now for 2 reasons:

1. I need it to take financial stress away. I need it to feel I can accomplish this.
2. I will have something of interest that people will want to learn from me. This will make the list building more natural. That’s why we’re attracted to the big list people. They know something we don’t and we want some of it.

The Internet has thousands of real workable ways to make money. There are no pat answers as everyone will make this happen in there own way in there own time as an outgrowth of who they are.

I’m going after ClickBank. So now how can I do this with the right smarts. I don’t like PPC, at least for right now. So what are the other choices. Well as many of you know my big success has been through making video infomercials. (Pick-Up your free copy of my e-book on this subject at the top right of this blog) I’m getting real interested in e-bay classifieds to promote ClickBank products and may even experiment with off line ads for my ClickBank Domain Names.

But I really feel I hit the motherlode (whatever that means) when I found this product recently named videocashexplosion

Since I have some understanding of how to make money with ClickBank. I recognized that videocashexplosion is an easy to learn system that really does work. I now know along with continuing to make video infomercials I will now accomplish my 2 Goals above. I am not only sharing the program with others, I am using it myself. I’ve been writing an e-book. Well it’s been said how great it is for you to actually have your own product to market. So I realized since I have experience with making Video Infomercials for ClickBank Products, why not get it down on paper or hmmm, I mean a PDF. It is a great experience. Organizing my thoughts and not getting distracted is a lesson in itself.

What I really like is I’m in control. I can make this really good if I like. Every time I reread it I make some changes. This is good because they are coming from creative juices that are flowing. My current title (that changes constantly too) is: “The Beginner’s Guide To Making Video Infomercials That Make Big Money”.

Another thing that is a real challenge is what am I gonna do with it. Give it away for free, sell it or both. What do I want from it if I give it away for free? Well I think that answer is a mailing list and some Affiliate sales from my Links. Though I definitely feel it’s great information so I may try some selling of it too.
