I’m simplfying my business   July 28th, 2010

I sort of reached a cross roads with my online business.   Maybe you’ve asked yourself a similar question.    How do I make good steady money online and what would I enjoy doing?

Everything I look at to do, always ends up much more complicated than I originally thought it would be.  But I’ve also realized there is no easy way, at least at first.

So if I’m going to plunge into something that even seems fairly simple, it will take concentration, effort, determination and some smart decisions for it work out.

In looking at simple it’s brought me back to e-bay at least for awhile.  So that’s what I’m doing at right now.  Setting up buying products both locally and nationally and re-selling them on e-bay.  Also checking sites like Sam’s Club, Costco, and JC Penny’s for hot products that I can turnover on e-bay for a profit.

Now that is work too, because e-bay is a bargain hunters market so it’s not always easy to find products to flip for a profit.  But I assure you they are out there.  I’ve found them many times.

I had a good talk yesterday with Chris Malta.  Chris is the founder of worldwide brands and is regularly on e-bay radio as their product sourcing expert.  He’s made millions on-line.

I’m considering working with Chris on a one to one basis.  He’s not a hype guy and will work directly with me on my own business.

So lets get focused and not multi-task or we’ll get nothing done.   It takes great focus just to not get sucked up into information overload and jumping on the next big launch.

In a few months I’ll be somewhere else in my on-line business.  And it’s all good because I know I will have money making systems in place and be ready for whatever I want to focus on then.

If I can ever be of any help, leave me a comment.

Talk soon- keep on keeping on,

Rob

My New Beginning In Life.   May 11th, 2010

Well alots happened since my last post.   I lost my job of 38 years as a projectionist in April.  My theater went all digital.   Since the two major theater chains in New York City went all digital at the same time.  About 40 people lost there jobs.

Now don’t cry for me, as this was really the push I needed to do what I really wanted to do which was go full-time in Internet Marketing.

I did accomplish something good last week, which was my first week full-time.  I wrote an e-book about youtube that I believe will be very helpful to anyone who is or wants to make simple videos that get results for anything they are doing on-line.

You can pick up a free copy in the upper right hand corner here.  Let me know what you think of it and if there is anything I can do to be of help to you.

 Keep moving forward,                                                                                                                  Rob

I got in on Jason Moffat’s early bird link.  I’ve never seen such a fight by marketers offering bonuses for going in on their affiliate link.  Jason won the race to get mine because of exceptional bonuses and an hour of one on one time with him.  Plus he’s really close with Frank so he really understands how Frank makes his millions.
Frank already has a cool welcoming video in the member’s area.  Boy is this ever going to be good, I mean great.

On top of the thank you page Frank had in big letters please don’t buy anything else from me.  He explained in the welcome video that he just went against everything we’re taught and left millions on the table by not having an upsell.

The point he said was this course if applied will be your last coaching course you’ll ever need.  He has been refining what he’s learned in 2 years from Mass Control and this will have everything to make it big once in for all.  It will be different from anything you think you know about List Building.  What’s needed he says is to put everything else aside your doing during the course and implement it.

The modules start next Monday March 29.  The Q+A with Frank starts the following Friday.  And I’m going to San Diego in late May for the exclusive seminar just with Frank.  No guest speakers and no pitching.  Wow! His seminars a legendary for content and wild fun.

The members area will have all modules, Q+A’s, unannounced bonusus + forum.   Frank has pledged to over deliver.
Because I’m going full time in Internet Marketing very soon, this couldn’t have came up at a better time.
I look forward to sharing with you what I’m learning, implementing and how it’s changing my life.

Whew, (if ever there was a time to be optimisitc it’s right now)

Turning The Page to 2010   December 30th, 2009

I write this post just hours away from 2010.  Strictly from an Internet business reflection point I ask myself- What did I accomplish in 2009?  What do I believe I will accomplish in 2010?

My work as a projectionist in one of the world’s busiest theaters in NYC kept me, well busy.  I’m talking most weeks were over 60 hours and some 70, 80 and more.  So juggling family, church (where I teach 5th graders) and my Internet business was a balancing act.

Thanks to Alex Jeffery’s coaching early in the year I was motivated to write my first e-book which was about how I was making a steady clickbank income making short amateur video infomercials.  Wow! was that ever a good thing to do.

Jim Cockrum liked my e-book so much he promoted it 4 times to his massive list.  Also because of opt-in’s into the bonus pool of Jim’s membership site “My Silent Team” (link under Rob’s Favorites) to get my e-book, my list exploded very fast with many really great people that I got to know personally.

Next my love of videos got me excited to join Maria Andros coaching last April.  I loved Maria’s coaching as she is an outstanding teacher.  Just following a few of her pointers my youtube account grew from 3 subscribers to close to one hundred.  There’s so much more from Maria’s coaching I still need to implement.

Then in late May it was off the Las Vegas for an exclusive get together for just 25 of Alex Jeffrey’s 1st coaching class.  There I saw the power of making connections with others in the Internet Marketing community.  We had such a blast and learned so much.  Alex amazed me as he taught in such depth for many hours and never asked for a dime or anything from us for it.  I’m proud to say that if you type in Alex Jeffreys on youtube my video of the event has been #1 out of close to 19,000 other videos for the past 6 months.

Next up to bat was my e-bay Diabetic Test Strip Business.  This business took off like a rocket.  I’ve sold $20,000 of these little jewels the last 4 months of 2009.  So what’s up for 2010.  Well I’m focusing on 3 things at the start anyway.

1- Ebay  Of course continuing and expanding test strips.  Adding new products which I already have started.  And in Feb taking my good friend from the UK Dan Briffa’s e-bay coaching course on finding fertile markets on e-bay, buying from China and rebranding the products with my own brand.

2- Affiliate marketing I’ve already enlisted Pauline who edited and formatted my e-book and even put up this blog.  She is going to be putting up affiliate word press sites for me.  Video marketing will be a big part of this.

3- List building I have really enjoyed my first year as a guy with a list.  I’ve stayed true to my instincts. Write as myself, not use swipe copies when promoting something.  Only promote products or coaching programs that I actually paid for myself, used and found great benefit from.  On Jan 24 I’m heading out to Vegas again to attend Alex Jeffrey’s coaching get together for his 2nd coaching group from this past summer.  Part of why I am going is because the main focus is going to be on list building.

So there you have it my 2009 and my very optimistic look into 2010.

Share with me what you’re plans are for Internet Marketing  in 2010 and how I can be of support.

Blessings,                                                                                                                                                        Rob

Outsourcing e-bay for on-line growth.   November 21st, 2009

I’ve been hearing about the importance of outsourcing in internet marketing since I started 2 years ago.  I guess I thought like most people do that it is for the people who are really making some good money and just can’t handle all the work themselves.

Well now that I’ve started outsourcing I see things different.  It’s the outsourcing that allows you to grow your business to make the really good money.  If you develop an area like e-bay that you have some success with on-line, but don’t outsource anything.  You are really working a job, not managing a business of unlimited potential.

I learned that years ago when I had my own carpet & upholstery cleaning business.  Sure it was my own business,  but I was working so hard myself there was no time to make more than a decent salary.

So now my e-bay business is say 80% outsourced.  What’s great is this frees up time to expand my e-bay business and also get busy on-line doing things like list building which is what grows an internet marketing business like nothing else.

Success breeds more success.  When people see you’re having some success they’re going to pay attention to you and your offers.  I can see how this is really fun.  But it’s when your not wearing all the hats in your business, then your freeing up time to discover possibilities and be creative to develop your own unique internet marketing business.

A number of people have asked me what is the easiest way to find success on e-bay.  My number one recommendation is arbitrage as taught by Diana:  Check out the incredible successful buying and re-selling method she has developed here:  http://tinyurl.com/ya9tzpg

Talk to you soon,                                                                                                                                               Rob

e-bay still works- I’m proof   October 4th, 2009

Some people have asked me what happened to me.  I used to post more and make videos more steadily.

Well I’m still here and still love to talk, make videos and share our journey together.

On Jim Cockrum’s My Silent Team membership site My Silent Team I found a remarkable product that sells on e-bay like wildflower for a very nice profit.  This new sideline business took off for me from 9am day 1 on Sept. 2.  So when something really happens, hey go with it.  So that’s where my time has gone on good old e-bay.

So it’s been kind of fun and since e-bay is going so well for me, I am looking at expanding.  My wife Laurel loves it too since I have gotten her involved doing some product pick-ups.  Since she was subing through the school system, it’s nice to now have steady work.

I look forward to getting back to other areas of affiliate and internet marketing soon too.  So everything is very cool.

Recently I saw the movie Julie & Julia. I enjoyed it a lot. Meryl Streep deserves her 16th academy award nomination for her portrayal of Julia Child. Bon Appetite- Yes I loved seeing all the great food scenes.

But today I’m writing about a different aspect of this film. The power of blogging. Amy Adams plays Julie Powell in the film. Julie is frustrated as a cubicle bureaucratic worker dealing with the problems of 9/11 back in 2002. Her friends are all fast track executive climbing women on the go.

So Julie realizes what will make her happy is making every recipe from Julia Child’s best selling book “Mastering the Art of French Cooking”. Julie goes to work for 365 days making 524 recipes in a tiny apartment over a pizza shop in Queens, New York.

When Julie tells her husband her friends are making it big with blogging. Her husband says you can blog too. So Julie says “I can write a blog, I have thoughts”

Well as they say, the rest is history. The blog was a smashing success. So was Julie Powell’s 2005 book on that year of cooking in 2003 and blogging about it everyday. And of course it is now a major motion picture.

I hate pushy sales blogs. You know the ones where the first thing you see is a big credit card. Nothing wrong with selling from your blog. But I think it’s best to do on the sides, not in people’s faces.

So lets have some fun with blogging. Lets just be real. What an awesome chance to just express ourselves and share with others what we know and what can help them.

Leave me a comment, Let me know if you’d like to be on my blog roll. I’d appreciate being on yours too. And if your not on my video marketing newsletter yet, sign up on this blog. I’ll share with you some great tips on video marketing.

Blessings, Rob

Wow! What a ride it’s gonna be.   August 17th, 2009

The ride I’m talking about is the future for all of us who are doing Internet Marketing. Well as usual there’s so much I want to do. And as usual too many thoughts stop me from doing very much.

I am so ready to make some serious decisions about my job as a projectionist. I mean I work 18 hour days. So that lack of sleep makes putting in a full days work in Internet Marketing on my days off a sleepless struggle.

But this post is not about excuses. As Alex Jefffery’s says there are only two outcomes: Results & Excuses.

So I’m gonna do it. And you’re apart of it. We are a powerful community. When we help each other we help ourselves succeed. That’s the beauty of the IM community. People from all different backgrounds, but the same entrepreneurial spirit.

So I’m gonna redo my “to do” list once again. And make things happen by taking action. I’m glad your along for the journey. This is not just about making money, but taking action confronts our own restraints and moves us forward to our own personal transformation.

Blessings,

Rob

Hey Guys,

I just had this logo made on http://99designs.com/ This is not an affiliate link.

It was a really cool process because you start a contest. You can pick the contest to run different lengths. You tell the artists what your looking for, how much you want to spend and than wallah!

The competition begins. Entries from all over the world come in so you have many, many choices to pick from. As the contest proceeds you give the artists you like feedback so they can make changes.

I offered the minimum cash prize you can start a contest at which is $195. Though it’s about $275 when they get finished with fees, since the $195 goes to the artist.

So I’m a happy camper, I like this design and now I can use it everywhere including squeeze pages, Aweber, and blog posts.

Best,

Rob

My 2 week vacation starts on Thursday.  The biggest constraint with moving forward with my Internet Marketing Business has been time.  My job as a motion picture projectionist just takes up too much time, 60-70 hour work weeks plus traveling are normal for me.

My wife is going to Kenya on Thursday for a mission trip with 10 others from our church.  So wow.  I have a snapshot opportunity to see if I really put full time into my Internet Marketing business will I be satisfied with the progress.

I can really feel I have learn’t enough to go full time.  But lets face it, the money has to be steady and at least be close to a sure thing to go full time.

I want to and I will go full-time soon.  These 2 weeks will be a tremendous opportunity to see if I can put those wheels in action.  I’m  wondering if you have thought of going full time and how you will make it happen?
